We received an emergency call out from Associated British Ports (ABP) due to the internal area of the Hull Ferry Terminal 1 being severely flooded; the flooding was so bad that the terminal could not open safely for business.
Powertherm personnel quickly mobilised and attended site at the King George Dock in the early hours of Saturday morning. Industrial cleaners executed flood damage cleaning procedures, removing all the flood water from the passenger access areas including waiting rooms, escalators, and stairways to name a few. The flooding was caused due to water cascading in from the roof of the terminal building.
With a keen focus on efficiency and effectiveness, industrial cleaners worked diligently to remove all floodwater and, following minor cleaning and restoration work, Hull Ferry Terminal 1 was once again prepared to serve its customers as usual.
ABP Infrastructure Management expressed their praise and appreciation below:
“I would just like to say thank you for the brilliant efforts of your team who attended the Hull Ferry Terminal 1 on Saturday morning. They did a superb job and were a huge help in getting the terminal operational again, please pass on my thanks to the team who attended, a great job well done.”
